The deadly rivalry between the Sharks and the Jets ignites once again, as an international cast takes the stage celebrating Jerome Robbins’ legacy.

The first measures of Leonard Bernstein’s jazz prologue start slowly, a melodic counterpoint to the snapping of fingers, driving the audience wild with anticipation. The turbulent sights and sounds of Manhattan in the 1950s will be brought to roaring life on stage by the deft hands of Joey McKneely and Donald Chan, in this latest European tour of the award-winning and enduring classic, West Side Story.

With a young cast of up-and-comers recruited straight from the Big Apple, the former pupils of the original creative team have maintained the original passionate choreography by Jerome Robbins. This staging has all the mesmerizing swirling and swishing of skirts and the jazzy, heated posturing of teenage gang members.

Kevin Hack (Tony) and Jenna Burns (Maria) have a burning chemistry on stage, transporting spectators with emotionally rendered duets. However, what starts with a snap ends in a bang, a tragic climax to the feud between Jets and Sharks. Tickets are going fast for this international musical spectacle.
